Our Story
How QuestVI Started
I spent two seasons behind the bar at the Windmill Bar on St. John, and the question I heard more than any other was simple: "How do I get out on the water?" Even as a St. John local, I didn't have a great answer. I knew a few operators, but there was no easy way to compare trips, book with confidence, or know you were getting a fair deal.
Then my family came to visit during my first off-season. I was determined to get them on the water — it's the best day of any Virgin Islands trip — but with most boats pulled for the season, it took a full week of texting contacts and digging online to find one still running. Even then, pickup was over on St. Thomas. The day itself was incredible. But I kept thinking: if I didn't live here, it never would have happened.
That's when QuestVI was born. Every visitor deserves to find a trip that fits their budget, their time of year, and their group size — without knowing anyone. After a year of meeting captains, building, and testing it all over again, QuestVI went live with more than 200 tours across St. Thomas and St. John.
That same off-season trip I took with my family is on QuestVI today. You can find it in seconds — and it even offers St. John pickup.

Meet the Founder
A St. John–based entrepreneur and Davidson College graduate (Physics), Isaiah founded QuestVI after seeing the same problem again and again: visitors want real, locally run experiences, but have no way of knowing who to trust. He also founded 308 Productions, a marketing agency for small businesses and tourism operators, and works directly with the charter captains behind every QuestVI listing to keep trips accurate, transparent, and true to what guests actually get.
