Island Explorer Charters is a family-owned and operated USVI charter company that has been running private day trips since 2014. The single-boat operation is a deliberate choice — one boat, one captain, one owner-operator standard of care across every trip.
The boat is a 35 ft Scout 350LXF center console — one of the best-regarded hulls in its class for a fast, dry, and stable ride in Caribbean chop. It was fully refit with new upholstery, a premium JL Audio sound system, and top-of-the-line electronics to make long days on the water feel effortless.
The captain holds a USCG 100-Ton Master license and has spent years navigating USVI and BVI waters. That translates into more time at the best snorkel spots, quieter beaches when other boats crowd the popular ones, and confident planning around weather and wind.
Signature Trips & Itineraries
USVI Full-Day Adventure: Snorkel Waterlemon Cay or Buck Island, drift into Honeymoon or Lovango Beach Club, and finish the afternoon with a swim at Lovango or a stop at Pizza Pi.
BVI Full-Day Adventure: Cross to Norman Island for The Caves and The Indians, bar-hop to Willy T's, then head to Jost Van Dyke for Foxy's and the Soggy Dollar. Valid passport required.

The Boat: 35 ft Scout 350LXF
The Scout 350LXF is a purpose-built luxury center console — twin 300 hp Yamaha outboards for speed and fuel efficiency, a T-top for shade, forward and aft seating, a fresh-water shower, and a well-appointed head (bathroom) below deck.
The refit added new upholstery, a JL Audio marine stereo, and upgraded electronics for navigation and safety. Snorkel gear, cooler with ice and water, and a large sun pad are all standard.
